My husband and myself finds ourselves in Walmat the other day. Suddenly this guy comes to us asking where we are from? We told him and then he started talking about himslef. He is from Liberia and he got married to a lady from one of these small islands, i do not remember which one. He said him and the wife were watching t.v. about wild life in Africa. So the wife will be like "honey so do you have all these animals in Liberia?" And then the husband answers no honey, we only have these very poisinous snakes that will take your life in less 10 minutes of being bitten. He says, "I know I am not supposed to lie but i do not want to find myself in Africa before the week comes to an end. This was a joke. I laughed but later i started thinking, do men do this to their wives? We went in Walmart intending to get just a few things but on our way out we found ourselves with a full trolley.

  2. Zimbabwe, by the way where i come from was colonized by the British. My English is British because that it how we learned during the early childhood days. I still find someone correcting me on so many words because that is how my mentality is. It used to bother me but not any more just like trying to change my accent so that i do not have everyone asking Where are you from? each time i open my mouth to say something.

  4. It's very easy to fill your basket at Wally World. I've gotten so much better at going inside and running through my mental lists of things to get. What helped me was that I stopped using Wal-Mart as part of my exercise regime. I would walk around Wal-Mart like I was taking a stroll around the park, then I would see all these "neat" things that I just had to have. Now I treat my trips to Wal-Mart like I'm running the 100 yard dash...on your mark, set, GO! GET IN, GET OUT! That's my motto now...lol

  5. It is all business at Walmart but that happens to me at Target. I love to wander around but it can be an expensive waste of time.

  6. Have you ever seen mad people? They go around mad at the rest of the world due to probarly something that happened in their lives as an accident or whatever circumstance. Things happen in life that we all have no control over. Sometimes it is good to just take a step back and take an unusual response and say, i am in this situation. How can i best utilise my energy to get the best out of this? You see, because we all go through painful experiences. And this is not a good enough reason to show the world the anger in us. Look for the best out of it and continue to live. After all, no-one is immune to pain.
In my art class i learned of this lady who had polio in her early years of life. She discovered joy in photography showing pictures of the less priviledged to the world. I just thought that was food for thought.
